Personality
Kano is a friendly, outgoing, yet pretty normal girl. She is dependable, trustworthy and usually calm and very honest. Kano is caring, tries to help whereever she can but tends to not see when enough is enough, threating everyone like she's their mother and being worried about everyone 24/7. She's collected, but can't concentrate on something for too long and is easily distracted. She hates her height and can get quite pissed off quite easily if someone mentions it. Kano trusts other people most of the times too fast and can be quite naive, also she's easily excited for something.

Backstory
She and her family lived  in another district in Japan, now and then visiting their relatives in Iwatobi. Kano loved visiting her cousin, she enjoyed playing silly games with him when they were younger. One day, her family had to move because of her fathers job. He is the owner of a company, and the headquarters of that company couldn't stay in the district they were living anymore. So they moved, and it was like fate, as Kano called it, that they moved right next to Rei's house. They moved during summer, so Kano attended the Iwatobi High in her second year then.
She was in Nagisa's class, and eventually became friends with him, so she one day found out he was in a swimming club. Finding it pretty interesting she asked him if she could join, to which he excitingly said yes, so when the next day Kano came to the pool, she was shocked to find her cousin there, but then started laughing. That's how she became the fifth swimming member of the swimming club, as she's able to swim quite well.
